T-BASE: Improving performance by changing behavior
When a child's claim to fame is bad behavior, a teacher spends more time reacting to the behavior than teaching the lesson. Spending less time handling behavioral problems and more time on academic performance is a pervasive classroom need. But how do we get there?
System 1-2-3's premier professional development program called T-BASE helps you make students with behavioral challenges famous for something else. Short for Technique-Based Applications for System Effectiveness, T-BASE is a highly structured process that utilizes a series of workshops and on-site mentoring to transform challenging behavior to positive behavior. Participants assess and measure behavior, design and implement an intervention and then evaluate and revise that intervention to ensure successful outcomes.
T-BASE is different from other professional development programs and consultants because it merges professional development with actual intervention. You address behavioral problems during the program, not after the program. You get results and once you and your staff go through the process, you will be able to apply it to future problems and share T-BASE steps with others in your organization.
